As an American who enjoys a symbiotic relationship with China (their largest market) and wish them well, I'm more worried FOR them than ABOUT them. They have bit off more than they can chew. They bite from the Big Brother apple, tracking everybody with face id and digital money. They build things they don't need and they use near slave labor to enable dumping in foreign markets where labor is well-paid which can only go for so long before the workers revolt as they do on occasion. They are in a quandary of their own making.
