History seems to have a mind of its own and is not quite as predictable as a computer but it does sort of take input from one era and puts forth an output to create the next era. In this way it can also be thought of as a form of Darwinian evolution where instead of creatures evolving, entire societies and social systems evolve and those that are fittest survive. Indeed, great wars have been fought along the way and these can be likened to the existential battles that creatures fight every day to survive. Whoever wins a war, survives at least until the next big test and such cultures can flourish under the right circumstances. The American Revolution could also be aptly named the American Evolution.

The World has seen many, many eras and they are not as simple as the life of a creature or plant because it spans the whole globe and many parallel Civilizations did come and go at the same time without ever interacting such as a sophisticated Chinese Empire existing at the same time as the Roman Empire and the Great Egyptian, Mayan, Aztec, Inca and African Civilizations. However, it is because of exploration, trade and migration that eventually civilizations did come into contact and shared ideas and commerce and they gained new knowledge and resources and yes, perhaps ended up battling over various things, but not always and not…
