I have to say I hit an odd pocket of irrational readers. First I said “it’s not unusual” which can mean one in a hundred atheists or one in ten. Second you are so hung up on my use of nothingness as though having a whole Universe full of all galaxies and black holes existing inside a tiny point solves your problem. Do you see how nutty you sound? It actually doesn’t matter if it’s called nothingness or an infinitely dense point, there still is no credible empirical explanation of how it got there in the first place as the article sort of says. For the purposes of what I was saying it’s an equally mysterious event that X % of atheists HAVE cited as evidence that God need not exist and existence can be explained without God which is true but still requires belief in the supernatural powers to hide universes inside points. You don’t see the irony? I think it’s hilarious. Also, I’m not even disagreeing with your main thesis only pointing to areas of paradox that arise. Now you’re making me think it’s not only a religion but has sects of different kinds of atheists as well.
