I think you might have had a little too much Tesla Koolaid since in China alone in 2021 made 3.5 Million decent EVs and they are now exporting to the EU and then the US. Plus American car companies have barely begun ramping up, as well as Japanese and Korean. There is no such thing as a 20 yr head start in tech since you don't see what others like Apple are doing and it often results in a leapfrog. Like I won't be shocked to see a car made for under 30k that goes 800 miles on a 5 min charge within a few years. Tesla may survive as a luxury brand but then they will be competing with serious engineering and finesse from Europe and Japan. BTW, the first EV was made in 1906 or so.
