I’m not sure how we would have escaped the original singularity since we are theoretically very well inside it, regardless of how much we think its expanding. It’s very relativistic in that regard. I guess I’m not sold on the fact that the singularity was “destroyed” in the Big Bang and am more inclined to think it’s merely a metamorphic version of the same thing and we live in it. Also, a neutron that decays that was created out of nothingness isn’t really decaying but becoming what it already was, nothingness and since there is presumably more nothingness, more neutrons can be created from it, ad infinitum.
