It's a hard calculation but the drilling, transport, refining, distribution of oil/gasoline and all the workers driving to each site is an ongoing carbon mess for each gallon you burn whereas EV uses centralized energy which CAN be renewable or in the future, fusion. On top of that you have antifreeze, oil and transmission fluid disposal and creation and distribution which is also toxic to the environment.
