It's sad to see as an American Anglophile. I always thought the UK in the EU was one of the great achievements of History and benefitted the whole world and I didn't get a sense of lost UK identity any more than I do with France, Germany or Italy losing their identities which are going strong. But the real tragedy is the UK and the EU are victims of the same Vladimir Putin brainwashing machine that gave us Donald Trump. Yeah, that Vlad really wants to make America Great! Ironically, it looks like the EU will end up with another amazing UK—UKraine.
