Of course irrational, poorly-planned and abject actions have been demonstrated by the military but none of those posed an existential threat to Moscow and St. Petersburg, safely carried out in remote Ukraine. None of those threatened to vaporize the families of the command and all they hold dear. That’s next level irrational and frankly mass-suicide so seems as likely as it ever was to me due to MAD.
