Russia is operating outside the bounds of modern civilization. Their propaganda and desired outcomes are irrelevant to the Reality they will face one day or another. No one likes a bully, and vicious bullies that will kill to be top dog are pathetic, insecure and are eventually defeated by better people. Russia had so much going for it (or so it appeared) and now they've thrown it all away.
