Russia is risking a near permanent business ban in two of the world's great markets, the US and EU, far more than mere oil, which the entire world, including China, India, Japan and Korea are working day and night to make obsolete. If all they care about is 2022, so be it but they should be far more worried about 2027 and beyond. All completely unnecessary is the worst part.
