Stalin culled the Russian gene pool of free thinkers, raised nails and dissenters to create an endless supply of obedient sheep which Russians pretty much were already after centuries of serfdom. It's one of the most obsequious, gullible and weak-minded populations on Earth...which is not a good thing.
