The Constitution was never quite meant to be "complete" except in its ability to be amended, improved and to guarantee certain unalienable rights. I'm a big fan of Constitution 2.0 that can rewrite some of more ambiguous things and really shore up our checks and balances, one of its greatest principles.

For example, we need more checks on Presidential power such as how to qualify with simple background checks and security clearances or to stop the pardon power 30 days before Presidential election up until inauguration. This way they would have to make very clear to the public who they would pardon BEFORE the election, not after it's too late. We need oversight on the Supreme Court too which seems to break the formula. We also need to stop the Legislature from politically meddling in State local affairs that don't involve Federal matters. We need to shore up voting rights and take a look at gerrymandering too. Filibuster reform is needed.

Finally, the 2nd Amendment needs a total rewrite in reconsideration of the role of the Militia, the power of modern weapons, etc. Right now it's having the opposite affect it was intended for which also made no mention of personal protection.

I totally agree, Barry, we need to get back to basics and work on the cracking foundations of our great nation!
