The Fallacy of Human-Controlled Ensoulment

I’m agnostic but I still know a fallacy when I see one. I don’t have to believe in your particular version of God to debunk your thoughts on how God behaves. You can’t have it both ways. Either your God is infallible, omniscient and omnipotent or They are not. Either They can be fooled or tricked or They can’t. Either They control the destiny of souls or They don’t.

Omniscience is the quality or state of being omniscient; the quality of knowing everything; — an attribute peculiar to God.

What makes believers think they know better than God? Of course, no one would claim such a thing because that would place them higher than God which is technically blasphemy. But in the real-world of men, women and laws we see folks regularly interjecting themselves into God’s work as the correctors of “God’s mistakes” and the defenders of God’s “plan.” No more egregious place to see this than in the abortion, contraception, IVF battles that rage on between the Pro Choice Majority and the “Pro Life” minority. At the core of this battle is the religious belief that a fertilized egg or embryo in a pregnant woman is a human being with a soul vs. a part of the woman’s reproductive system building a body that has the potential to be a human being with a soul but not yet a human being.
