The MANY Consequences of Banning Abortion

When a Right has been available your whole life as the Law of the Land, or most of it, it can be hard to remember or conceive of the ways that right has impacted your life and it mostly goes unconsidered in the background. However, when such a right is suddenly taken away, it will get a LOT of people considering the consequences, large and small.

No one is pro abortion. It’s a highly personal matter and is never undertaken casually. It’s after all, a surgical procedure so who takes that lightly? Pro Choice on the other hand is a position supported by over 68% of Americans, some estimate as much as 75%. It says that each woman and her partner have a choice as to whether to carry through with or terminate a pregnancy. I’m not a fan of the terms abortion or terminate because they are often twisted to mean aborting or terminating an actual human life. This completely arbitrary non-scientific redefinition of human life as a clump of cells is preposterous and it’s just not how life works. I wrote about my preferred terminology, Do Not Suscitate (DNS), for clear reasons you can read there.

Everyone is pro life. I have yet to meet a single, non-suicidal person who isn’t all for life. Maybe a soldier is anti-life with respect to the enemy but is doing it to preserve his/her life and those he/she loves back home. If anything, this is THE prime mover in the quest for survival—to want to live. Every single creature on Earth does that down to an amoeba so it’s not actually a big deal. However, in the context of this issue let me also say I’m pro mother and pro father. I’m pro egg, pro sperm, pro embryo, pro fetus and pro baby but only three of these things are breathing, independent creatures who were 100% born and alive by every definition: the mother, the father and the baby. So I reject this whole terminology of Pro Life as protecting life. Life protects itself! The hypocrisy of the Pro Life movement is how all the phony life concern seems to stop after the moment of birth or for the life of the mother so we should rightfully rebrand this movement as Pro Birth.

Regardless of how it’s termed or perceived by any individual, the real-world consequences of removing this Fundamental Privacy Right are incalculable in all sorts of important ways and frankly unconscionable, and completely regressive when you stop to consider the following:

Ruination or stunting of millions of young lives of women and men

When a young woman or girl gets pregnant by accident, foolishness, rape or why ever, to then carry a baby to full term and give birth is a HUGE life-long commitment that supersedes nearly every other decision she will make. Her life and the life of the father and her family must shift entirely to “parent mode” even though she may be a child herself. This precludes many other possibilities and basically creates a developmental pause of plans for school, work, career, etc. This can be almost impossible to recover from since the needs of the child grow rapidly and your own needs are put on a back burner. If you do go back to school or work, it will likely be much later and in a weaker financial position.

Millions of unwanted children raised by unprepared parents

When you force people to have a child they don’t want to have, it can create resentments. It’s not that they don’t love their child but that they were forced to give birth before they were ready to be a parent. These resentments can create a toxic parenthood where the parent resents the inconvenience and travail of doing everything parents do. It’s not lost on the child either, who picks up the vibe that they were not exactly in the plan. Both parent and child have different resentments for different reasons and both suffer. Often times the parent is a child themselves both emotionally and legally and are completely unqualified for responsible parenthood, no fault of their own.

Many more children born out of wedlock

I don’t have a thing about parents needing to be married at all. However, having a stable home with responsible partners can alleviate the burdens of parenthood tremendously for both parents and children. Teamwork. Even if two youngsters decide to get married because of the pregnancy, such marriages are on a weak foundation and can easily crumble into acrimony as they both mature, often in separate directions they didn’t anticipate. This can cause enormous stress on all parties and lead to anxiety issues.

Inbred and rapist deviant genes brought into permanent gene pool

There is something so wrong about making someone who was raped or forced into sex by a relative bear the child. Barbaric! Besides the psychological trauma and danger of birthing your rapist’s child, you are also continuing the genetic legacy of that rapist, or in the case of incest, greatly increasing the risk of birth defects. Those genes then move forth with that child and if they later have children it is all passed along. These are exactly the type of people we DON’T want breeding so why the hell perpetuate these genes? Darwinically it makes no sense for society to do that.

Many birth defects and genetic aberrations forced to live miserable lives

Besides the defects of incest, there are many cases where tests or scans show a serious congenital condition early on in the pregnancy. Sometimes, the mother is too old to have children safely and wishes not to chance it. Maybe she has enough children already? Regardless, a fair number of abortions are to avoid bringing a child into the world who might suffer every day of their lives. How is that humane to force that upon an embryo?

Workforce disruption forcing women to become mothers instead of career

On a purely socio-economic level, women having control over birth has allowed them to pursue careers and greatly enhance the workforce and the economy. In fact, often times we now need two sources of income just to get by so we can’t just say no, you have to stop what you are doing and have that child that at the time is a small embryo with no sensation whatsoever. That will have a huge impact on businesses and the economy over time.

College taken off table for many

Having a baby in or right out of High School pretty much puts a kibosh on college. This has a cascading effect on the mother and/or father which puts them behind in life and they also miss out on an important part of developing a social network of life-long friends, not to mention getting a higher education to have a more successful life. This seems like a cruel path to force on someone who made a common sex mistake, easily corrected.

Further population explosion on already stressed ecosystem, schools, healthcare, etc.

We have no shortage of people in the world and it is bursting at the seams already. Forcing million more people into the system who will later have many, many millions more will not only tax the planet but every system of society. Did you ever consider that abortion is necessary to survive as a species? It very well may be. It could even, believe it or not be a merciful, compassionate Godsend, not a sin.

More criminals who were improperly raised

A fact remains that 20–30 years after Roe v. Wade passed, the crime rate tumbled. Sociologists attributed this to all the above and far fewer of resentful, neglected, under-parented and angry teenagers who had nothing to lose getting involved with crime. Unfortunately, you have to wait a generation to see it, but you will if you ban abortion. I guarantee it.

Besides creating criminals, it also turns our police and justice system into a bedroom snooper, neighbors into snitches and takes energy out of our justice system to fight REAL crimes so it’s sort of a crime wave double whammy of stupid choice.

Men completely rule over women’s reproduction

One of the most despicable aspects of overturning this hard-fought Right is that most of it is being done by men who end up in the catbird seat as biologically unable to give birth and thus much less affected by the law, so they think! Don’t think for a moment that behind the Right to Life movement are not a bunch of men who want women back in their place, barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen. I don’t think women will stand for that pathetic 19th century crap! Women 100% own their bodies at all moments. That’s the deal. They have to go through the dangers and pain and discomfort of carrying and having a child, not men. They are not mere birthing vessels for men to utilize. WOMEN get to decide!

Dissolution of barrier between church and state

Much of the Pro Life movement is formed from misguided interpretations of scripture. Indeed, there is no scientific proof whatsoever for considering an embryo a human life with a soul. If that were true, then why would God put a soul in an embryo and the abort 16% of all pregnancies with miscarriage? God made a mistake? It makes no sense. Therefor, we are allowing religious beliefs to override legal and rational precedence, something expressly forbidden in the Constitution which calls for strict separation of church and state.

Many botched black market and self-administered abortions

Naturally, abortion will NEVER go away. Women will seek out any and all remedies to their unwanted pregnancies as they always have. Now they have more options such as pills and I’m sure “abortion kits” will soon be flooding the black market that can not be stopped any more than weed or other things, if not less so with the Internet and apps and all. But, these are terrible regressive methods when we’ve had five decades of safe, effective, medically supervised abortions. People will die, become sterile and suffer because of this horrid decision of the rigged Supreme Court. Women and friends will unfortunately die in long interstate car trips to abortion havens too. The carbon footprint of abortion has just gone way up as well.

The Fine Line Between Miscarriage and Abortion

One form of abortion is simply inducing a miscarriage using pharmaceuticals or even ancient natural remedies. If abortion becomes criminalized, then there will be a push by the same zealots to also ban these drugs or alternatives. However, 16% of ALL pregnancies are NATURALLY ended by miscarriage. Sorry, Nature has been doing this for millions of years, weirdos. Yet we can anticipate many anguished mothers suffering from unwanted miscarriages being then accused of murder and it’s already happened. This is beyond egregious and goes to show how misguided the whole affair is.

Migration out of Handmaiden States

Not only will women rightly seek abortion services in progressive, modern states that welcome them, but they will also want to move to those states, go to college in those states and raise families in those states. They will bring husbands and family with them. Businesses to will prefer to operate in less disruptive states to their businesses too where they can hire talented young women who yes, want to have sex and yes, will sometimes get pregnant when they don’t want to. That’s reality. No, you right wing, government control freaks, this will not work out well for your states at all!

The illegitimacy of the Supreme Court is shown

To overturn a decades old precedent that 70% of Americans support is not only undemocratic but its immoral. Five justice are overriding the will of hundreds of millions of people. Three of these justice were appointed by a One-term President who was impeached twice and incited violence at our Capitol. Appointing three has only been done by two-term Presidents since Washington, the last one being Reagan. These are NOT the People’s duly deserved Justices. They elected Obama twice, but were illegally denied by a corrupt Senate. This also demonstrates that the court is willing to spit in the face of Justices Past who carefully decided these cases, all for their own personal beliefs having nothing to do with the LAW that was already decided. Several of these Justices also lied under oath during confirmation, pretending to support this precedent which garnered them more votes. Travesty!

Angry Conclusion

This honestly just scratches the surface of the consequences of banning abortion (DNS) and doesn’t even go into the criminal consequences of fining or jailing women or doctors who break the law which brings further ruin to lives and costs to society. This is all so infuriating and unnecessary and it is absolutely the fault of electing the worst President in History, the One Term, Twice-Impeached, criminally prosecuted Donald Trump who got to seat three ultra-conservative “Pro Life” judges on the supreme court with Mitch McConnell’s demonic denial of Obama’s moderate pick and the rush job to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg who is rolling over in her grave. The irony is Trump 100% impregnated women in his playboy lifestyle who he sure as hell made sure didn’t have the child(ren). The fault for his accidental tragic election lies with Russia, Facebook, Comey and even Hillary Clinton for saying “Basket of Deplorables,” as accurate as that was. Think it, but don’t say it.

I predict that the backlash will be so monumental that whereas Republican’s thought they would waltz away in the 2022 midterm election, they have unleashed the scorn of women and many men and will face a gigantic, motivated turnout. Because this law change effects men very much too and MANY of them will soon figure that out so don’t assume only women will be motivated. Kiss suburban moms good bye! This cuts across all demographics.

This can’t and this won’t stand!

Even angrier!
