I have written on the delusional nature of national sovereignty on an unmarked globe and also how such seemingly random delineations could arise through an evolutionary need for group survival. This sets the stage for what I think is a helpful way to look at people that gather not merely in groups like at a concert, but those that form a border, a cell wall or a skin if you will, and thus take on traits and behaviors that are similar to biological organisms. If true, this would indicate that the same forces that caused numerous colonies of completely different cell types to form complex organisms is still at work on a higher level and probably always will be. It also allows us to better understand the role of government, the military, the transportation systems, etc. when we see it in a more holistic, biological way.

One can also delve into the realm of microbiology, the world of single cells to see these same organizational principles at work which also gives us a deeper appreciation for the supreme organizing power of Life. We honestly can’t claim to know if this fractal of life spirals even further down into the crazy quantum world of electrons, quarks, etc. and we just can’t observe it yet. We do see nanobiology in the form of DNA and RNA doing wild, lifelike animated things seemingly with a purpose. Likewise, we can’t rule out even larger gigabiology where life organization is seen on a…
