The Modern American Is a Spoiled, Ill-Informed, Distracted Weenie

I don’t like to generalize too much and there are thankfully many millions of exceptions to these observations but some things are reaching a critical mass and can’t be ignored.

It’s embarrassing. Watching people complain about higher prices after the Great Pandemic, watching them buck the experts during the pandemic, watching them attack the Capitol when they lost a normal election with record turnout, watching grown men pretend to be patriots when they are really white supremacists, watching the inanity of Tik Tok and Instagram, watching lone drivers running around in gigantic SUV’s and SO much more, lets me know we have lost our collective minds.

We have it SO easy compared to our ancestors. They had chamber pots and outhouses, no running water, let alone hot and cold, they had no AC or central heating. They had no cars or paved roads. They couldn’t fly places. They had no antibiotics or advanced medicines or fancy medical technology, they had no Amazon to order any possible item delivered next day to their homes. They had no phones, let alone smart phones, no major entertainment forms such as movies, TV, YouTube or on-demand music. They had no large grocery stores with massive overkill of products.
