This landscape is ripe for a player like Apple to swoop in and offer all the benefits of social networks by connecting to messages, news, weather, photos, etc. and creating a new paradigm that combines the best of all. They have the religion of personal privacy people trust, have the Operating System all these run on anyway and basically it gets to sell more devices with no big need to monetize and harvest private data. They could do it WAY better and offer a way less spammy and desperate experience with better aesthetics and integrated user experience.

Other than that the government could offer blockchain cloud services to the public as a part of infrastructure. We need to kill the current paradigm ASAP.
