This sounds right to me and even examining smaller things like our bodies likewise reveals a "fractal of life" containing things that are sort of inert like hair and fingernails and cartilage integrated to form a living thing. The Universe, if anything, is somewhat consistent. Also, it seems unlikely that we are equipped to understand the full scope and boundaries of what all life is.
