Unfortunately, this is not how World History works. In reality no people "own" any land and their only mission is to take care of they land they borrow from the Earth. Our indigenous peoples understood this and they had no such concept of land ownership. But unfortunately thousands of years of World History pushed people West trying to find a better life. You well know this in Ecuador (a wonderful country...I have good friends in Cañar) where Spaniards were not so kind to natives either. Most natives in the Americas died from diseases they had no immunity to, not from being slaughtered. We have a barbaric past for sure. We are trying to move on but so many people are all about profit and materialism...less so the younger generation which is our only hope.

The US is a microcosm of all cultures from around the world. We have greedy businesses and also pioneers in sustainable agriculture and green tech under the same roof. We have an existential battle going on within between autocratic exploiter types and social democrat types. For the first time, our Secretary of the Interior is a Native American and things are changing. We will rapidly move to solar and soon fusion. We have a group trying to plant a trillion trees around the world. There is good with the evil and good WILL prevail but it takes too long.

My wife is Russian so we know many Russians and they all know this is Putin's war, not Russia's. Many have left Russia and many more want to.

War is not the answer.
