Well there was a long history of brilliant international inventions and ideas such as telegraph and radios that led up to it as far back as the 1830s…In 1927, at the age of 21, Philo Farnsworth completed the prototype of the first working fully electronic TV system, based on the “image dissector.” He got the patent on what became the actual modern television rasterizer tube. But folks can share credit. George H. Heilmeier was an American credited with beginning the LCD, flat panel revolution which then blossomed in Japan.
