You are correct, sir. I am an optimist in my life. I would clarify and say wars, and any event, can’t be avoided WHEN THEY ARE MEANT TO HAPPEN, when the die is cast, when every foolish mistake has been made and diplomacy and humanity have failed, then raw Darwinian survival is up to bat. Look at WW1—Prince Ferdinand had dodged an assassination attempt and while leaving town his driver got lost and was turning around in a parking lot of a little store. The assassins couldn’t believe their luck for they had stopped there too to get a sandwich and proceeded to finish the job and ignite the tinderbox.

We humans neither control, nor understand all the forces at work in this material dimension we occupy—the play we are in, the tests, trials and tribulations we endure and often fail. To avoid WW3 we must prove we are worthy and demonstrate a higher ability. We need to prove we have evolved. I don’t see enough evidence, unfortunately,, but would love to be proven wrong.

You’ll note the primitive nature of all the WW3 and Nuke talk is almost identical to a gorilla beating his chest before an adversary. Most of it comes from Russia which has a less professional tough guy rhetoric and penchant for instigating violence. It’s natural for such a beast to eventually create a confrontation they can’t actually win in which case the chest beating didn’t match the fighting ability. The danger for Russia and all of us comes from putting so much power into the hands of one insecure, delusional man, another massive Darwinian fail.
