You might be a bit more worked up than needed. First of all, Peter Jackson is a New Zealander, not an American and he made the movies with a lot of love and hard work. You make a movie, see how it goes. Someone can do a better version. Even though I can buy into your racial arguments of white casting, I'm not convinced you have given credit to Tolkein who was a master of description and I doubt he'd fail to describe the exact color or appearance of a given race or type in the book. In fact Dwarves, Elves and such were well established in English and European folklore but yes, white folks did not appear until about 5-8,000 yrs ago in Europe is current thinking but Tolkein didn't know that since it was just discovered this century. The Shire is an Old English word associated with English countryside.

Finally, Americans are the most inventive people in history with a list of inventions so long it could go for pages, including this web site born in San Francisco. Blues, Jazz, Jimi Hendrix, electric guitars, Moog synthesizers, television, telephones, smartphones, software, Space Telescopes, mRNA vaccines, solar cells. C'mon are you kidding? Yes, unbridled capitalism is disgusting and world-killing and needs to be tamed or else, but many people, the writers, the artists, the musicians, the scholars, the doctors of America are as good as any so I don't quite buy your vitriol.
