Your seething disdain for "The West," which also includes Japan and Korea, former victims of Russian aggression belies a lack of objectivity. The most pathetic lack I see in your writing is courage. Your theory of the world is apparently based on cowardly surrender to any bully who bombs their way into your lands. You leave out of your sad formula the Ukrainian WILL, the people's desire NOT to be subjects of the distant Tzar and to be free and Democratic. Yes, they are dying because they are being murdered but yes they are also courageously putting a world of hurt on miscreant Russia and that hurt is only going to grow. Look how long the Soviets struggled in Afghanistan and the Afghans didn't even have drones, F16's and HIMARS and Patriots. Russia has already lost ten times what they lost in 10 years and that ended the USSR.

Foolish Putin has only managed to expand and strengthen NATO and to reawaken the German military. All that for nothing and it could be a beautiful calm Summer day in Russia right now but it's a growing mess instead.
